Produced by Kevin Ryan for a benefit CD, Christmas 2004

I built myself a little snowman
Rolled him up all round and white
Gave him all the usual snowman looks
Carrot nose and a corncob pipe

But just to make my man unique
Give him things the other snowmen lacked
I put a light bulb where his heart would be
And a tree branch spine all down his back

Oh, how I loved my little snowman!
He'd tell me stories 'neath the stars
About how he'd turned down dates from angels
And when the elves went on strike against Santa Claus

But Christmas didn't last
I knew the sun would come to Oregon
I cried the day that I returned
And all was left to my little snowman
Was the clean electric heart
And that straight up tree branch spine
I took them home maybe it'll snow again
And I, oh I'll build a Valentine.
